ITI Electrician is the most popular course in India. In this course, you will get practical as well as theoretical knowledge regarding wiring, repairing, installing, maintaining electrical devices, and so on.

What is ITI electrician

ITI stands for Industrial Training Institute. ITI courses are also known as vocational courses. In these courses, students usually learn industry-specific skills that help them a lot in getting a job. ITI Electrician is a course among all the ITI courses.

The duration of the ITI Electrician course is of 2 years.

Before 2018, It was semester wise i.e there were 4 semesters each of 6 months but now it is yearly. Colleges can take their internal exam in 6 – 6 months.

During ITI vocational training you are given both practical as well as theoretical knowledge.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who want to pursue ITI electrician should at least finished there 10th standard with maths and science.

Admission Procedure

You can either go for private colleges or government colleges for pursuing the ITI course. Private college basically gives you admission on the basis of 10th marks whereas government colleges conduct entrance exams. Generally, each state conduct their own exams like:-

Course Fee

ITI is not an expensive course like a degree or diploma. Its fee varies from state to state. Like in Delhi fee structure for ITI in govt college is ₹1600. In Bihar, it is around ₹4000 for both welders and electricians course. Generally in government colleges fee varies from ₹1500 to ₹20000 while in private colleges fee varies from ₹5000 -₹ 50000 per year. The fee varies from college to college.
